SUPPLY LISTS FOR 2007-08
School supply lists (Note Open In Adobe PDF)
Elementary School Supply List
Middle School Supply List
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TOO EARLY!
Parents are reminded to not send or bring their children
to Barrackville School BEFORE 8:15am! No staff
members are available to supervise students before that
time. That also means that they should not be
waiting outside on the school grounds before that time.
STUDENTS REQUIRED TO HAVE TB TESTS
Please take note of a change in West Virginia state law
concerning the enrollment of students from outside of
the state of West Virginia: These students
MUST
have a TB test and have it read
BEFORE
being allowed to attend school in West Virginia.
Therefore it is encouraged for parents to get this done
in the next few weeks so no school time will be lost.
Days missed will be days counted absent.
Free T.B. tests are given every Wednesday at the Marion
County Health Department from 1:00-3:00pm. They
then must be read on the following Fridays at the Health
Department from 1:00 - 3:00pm. Their phone number
for more information 366-3360.
T.B. tests can also be obtained at the John
Manchin Sr. Health Care Center on Monday, Wednesday, and
Fridays from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Their phone number
is 363-2500.
FACULTY PAGES NOT WORKING
Around 2000,
Barrackville School was
one of the first to have their entire faculty build
their own web pages. As the computer age marches
on, some companies bid adieu and leave the scene.
The company that has hosted that portion of our website
has gone out of business. That is the bad news.
The good news is that Marion County Schools will be
moving to "web-based" teacher grade books, Grade Quick
and their accompanying teacher - parent pages EdLine
As soon as that is up and running later in the 2006-07
school year, we hope to re-construct the important
teacher portion of our web site.
BARRACKVILLE SCHOOL A GEAR-UP SCHOOL
